Jan Hasselbring will introduce the Tri-Cities Area Imagination Library to the community. This affiliate of the Dolly Parton Foundation Imagination Library, based in Nashville, Tennessee is an early childhood literacy initiative providing a simple, yet powerful way to inspire families to read to their preschoolers. All registered children are sent the gift of a book, in their name, every month from birth to age 5, when they enter kindergarten.

Jingle Bell Parade

The Jingle Bell Parade is held the first Saturday in December in downtown Grand Haven, and is gaining in popularity each year. Area non-profits and businesses ring in the holidays with lighted floats, music, costumes and good cheer. The parade is followed by the lighting of the community Christmas tree and caroling in Central Park.
