The Community Affairs office is located in the Community Center (421 Columbus St). This service area has responsibility for numerous events and venues. In addition to scheduling use of the Community Center and Mulligan's Lodge, this focus area works with residents and visitors who plan weddings, runs, bike-athons, boat races, parades and other special events in Central Park, City Beach, Mulligan's Hollow, the Waterfront Stadium or at other properties owned by the City. The Community Affairs Manager also coordinates with local organizations to plan and facilitate larger events such as Winterfest, Queen's Cup, and the Coast Guard Festival.
Seasonal operation and staffing of the 69-slip marina and waterfront fall under the Community Affairs Manager.
