The city's 60 plus miles of streets are designated as major or local streets, depending on the type and amount traffic they generate. Asphalt repair, street sweeping, snow plowing road salting, storm sewer repair and signage are part of the street service area.

 

An ongoing expectation of City Council is advance preparation and immediate repair of wintertime damage to streets and parking lots. The Pot-Hole Hotline is none other than the Department of Public Works office number, 847-3493.
