Summer Employment Opportunities

The City of Grand Haven regularly hires individuals to fill positions for the summer months.  These openings are in a variety of areas and are scheduled on a part to full time basis depending on the position, the events scheduled in Grand Haven during that time frame and the schedules of the other individuals in the department/area.

All positions require individuals to be at least 18 years of age, be able to successfully complete a pre-employment physical and drug screen and to be available for the entire summer season without long breaks or vacations.  Most positions require work on weekends and holidays.  All positions require work during the week of Coast Guard Festival.  Previous proven work experience is preferred and solid work references are expected.

All summer employees are a vital link between the City of Grand Haven and its residents and visitors and therefore, all candidates must be prepared to function in an “ambassador” role in addition to completing the tasks of their assigned position.
