Paid on Call

Our Paid-On-Call (POC) employees are part-time firefighters that assist us in all aspects of fire services. Currently we have seven (7) POC firefighters serving the agency, all of whom possess a minimum of Firefighter I, Firefighter II and Medical First Responder certifications. Each of these individuals are employed in full-time careers outside of our agency, however, still dedicate themselves to serving our community whenever time allows. POC’s often fill shifts as well as serve as emergency responders during large scale incidents. They also assist in several support services, such as equipment maintenance and testing, special events, and public education. They are an invaluable asset, and we are proud to have them serve as members of GHDPS.
