Neighborhood Housing Services has partnered with the Michigan State Housing Development Authority with the goal to create successful homeownership opportunities and improve the quality of life for those who choose to make Grand Haven home.

 

 

 

Pre-Purchase Homebuyer Education Class

Increase your knowledge of the home buying and owning process. This 6 hour class will prepare you for successful home ownership as we discuss the following topics; Assessing your readiness to purchase, Managing Your Money, Understanding Credit, Getting a Mortgage Loan, Shopping for a Home and Keeping Your Home and Managing Your Finances.

Homebuyer Purchase & Repair Program
The Home Purchase Rehabilitation grant enables income eligible families to become successful sustained homeowners. The grant provides funds to rehab existing homes in the City of Grand Haven. Up to $20,000 is available for rehab and up to $10,000 for closing costs and down payments. Homebuyers must be between 40-80% of the area median income based on family size and have less than $20,000 in liquid assets.
