Chilly Blues- It's a Gas! Gas! Gas!
Chilly Blues, Grand Haven's seventheen Annual Chili Cook-Off and Blues Festival is slated for Friday and Saturday, April 15 & 16, 2011.
"We are going to work the same format as the last 6 years. On Friday, the 15th and Saturday the 16th Blues Entertainment will be held at the Kirby House and the Theatre Bar, The Grand, The Dee-Lite and other Dowtown venues yet to be determined. We are in the process of organizing the final acts for the weekend and the anticipation will turn to excitment once the announcement is made.
On Saturday, April 16th, beginning at 10am at Snug Harbor, Chili Contestants will begin final registration and preperation for the 12Noon Shotgun Chii start on the heated outdoor deck at Snug Harbor. The public is welcomed and encouraged to cheer their favoite team to victory. In addition to the Chili Cook-off, more live blues will begin playing from 1-6pm. as contestants mix their special brew! At 3pm our panel judges will dig into the chili and make what is more than likely, the most difficult decision of thier lives... and from there on out ....It's Gas! Gas! Gas!
