Memorial Day Parade and Tribute Ceremonies

All units participating are asked to assemble no later than 9:15 A.M. at Franklin and 6th St. School children are able to march/ride bikes in the parade and will be the last unit in the parade. Parade commences at 9:30 AM Local Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts will hand out programs and poppies along parade route - Washington Ave. Immediately following the parade, a memorial service will be held at Waterfront Stadium, the public is encouraged to attend. Upon completion of the Waterfront Stadium ceremony the public is invited to take part in a shorter ceremony at Veterans' Memorial at the intersection of Y Drive and Harbor. Our final tribute will be held at the GAR lot (Grand Army of the Republic) at Lake Forest Cemetery to witness the firing of volleys and sounding of TAPS. City trolleys will provide a free shuttle service between venues.

Spring Lake Wooden Boat Show

The Spring Lake Wooden Boat Show has been held annually since 2004. For 2015 the show will be held at Mill Point Park in Spring Lake. This year marks the 12th year of the show! The event is always free to the public!
This years show is Saturday, May 30
9:00am – 3:00pm
Awards Ceremony at 3:00pm
Registration for boaters begins at 7:00am
