Art in 8 Competition on Oct. 10

Eight Muskegon area artists will have eight hours to create a new original work of art based on this year’s ahfest theme of theme “Myth and Reality” during the Art in 8 competition on Saturday, Oct. 10.
Free and open to the public, the event takes place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Muskegon Farmer's Market indoor facility at 242 West Western Avenue. A separate high school competition will be held from 1-5 p.m.
The winning work and artist are selected by popular vote and announced at the public reception at the end of the day. The reception begins at 4:30 p.m. and continues until 6 p.m. The Cheese Lady will be supplying the food for the reception.

During this fun, factory tour you will have the opportunity to learn about the chocolate making process from pod to bean to delicious chocolate! Visitors will also be able to taste fresh samples right off the line, visit our production area, and get a close-up view of our vintage 1950’s enrober that’s just like the one that was used on I Love Lucy! Tours cost $3.00 per person and can be scheduled on Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Special times and large groups of 10 or more may also be accommodated.
