UPCOMING COMMUNITY EVENTS

Memorial Day Parade Monday, May 29th

May 29, 2017
09:30 AM / 11:45 AM

The Memorial Day Parade steps off at 9:30 a.m. led by the Coast Guard Color Guard from 6th Street down Washington Street to the Waterfront Stadium. An aerial flyover by the Hooligans flight team will remind us of those who gave their lives in air combat.
Motorcycle units, floats, flags, veteran organizations, Scouts, kids and the Grand Haven High School Marching Band are some of those marching in the parade.
The public is invited to the Waterfront Stadium Ceremonies for speeches, tributes, music and the rendering of honors.
The Memorial Day Association is asking: "What does Memorial Day mean to you?
Come to the parade with a grateful heart for the freedom and liberty we enjoy. These are luxuries purchased at great cost.
This is a very special time of the year to come together and nourish each other with a patriotism both justifiable and appropriate. Don't miss it!
