Recreation Coordinator

The North Ottawa Recreation Authority (NORA) is seeking an individual to serve as the NORA Coordinator. The successful candidate will oversee our extensive recreational programming serving the municipalities represented by the regional, multijurisdictional Board of Directors. The NORA Coordinator will oversee a paid staff of 2 and an extensive volunteer staff as necessary to provide the programs and activities offered to the residents of the communities we serve. Overall responsibilities include financial management (budget and capital expenditures), long range strategic planning, personnel management, and program development and implementation.

A Bachelor’s Degree in recreation or a related field is required with at least three years of proven experience. Knowledge of recreational program operations and administrative procedures is necessary. The ability to manage multiple tasks is critical. The successful candidate will have the skills to oversee varied projects, events and programs and to successfully schedule the details.

Harbor Transit Customer Care Supervisor

The City of Grand Haven and Harbor Transit Multi-Modal Transportation System is seeking a Customer Care Supervisor. Under the general direction of the Transportation Director, this individual will manage the day-to-day operations of the Harbor Transit Dispatching and Customer Care Department including performing employee evaluations, scheduling and responding to customer concerns.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field with at least three years of progressive and proven supervision experience is required. The ability to maintain positive customer service while performing highly detailed tasks with multiple interruptions is critical. A solid understanding of the Harbor Transit service area is expected. The ability to support dispatch as necessary and manage software changes will be critical.
